What is assisted living?
We provide assisted living in North Canton to our residents that need a bit more care. Assisted living residents live in their own apartments in our North Canton facility and share common areas. Assisted living is for people who need help with daily care, but not as much help as a nursing home or skilled nursing facility provides. For example, at Windsor, our assisted living facility consists of 50 unique apartments each licensed for up to 2 residents. This means that we can accommodate the needs of individuals or couples seeking to live together.
Facilities like Windsor provide a continuum of longer-term care services. For example, residents can expect housing, personal care services, and health care assistance. Similarly, we also provide for our residents that need assistance with normal, everyday activities. Most importantly, this is all done while still maximizing the independence of the individual.
Types of Assisted Living
Some assisted living facilities are more like freestanding communities. Likewise, others are attached to skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitative services. However, assisted living facilities can give residents the independence they crave. Additionally, this gives caregivers and loved ones the help they need to maintain the dignity and quality of life the resident deserves.
Many of our residents fall within this category, and we’re happy to help. However, we hear the same things time and time again from our residents and their loved ones. Not only has our assisted living facility in North Canton has helped to return balance, order, and dignity to families and relationships, but also they wish they had contacted us sooner! We only wish we could have helped sooner!
