We are pleased to share another wonderful rehab success story from Windsor Medical Center!
Barbara arrived at Windsor Medical Center after being in the hospital for heart surgery. She was not able to use her arms to assist with standing, she was sore and in pain after having surgery and weak. She had a decline in balance, needed to use a walker to walk, and was not strong enough to be a caretaker for her mother like she had been prior. Barb worked hard in Physical and Occupational Therapy to regain her strength, endurance, balance, and self-care to her prior level before surgery.
Recovering from heart surgery is no easy task, but she put in all the work she needed to in order to recover fully. Barb’s speedy recovery was due to her dedication and hard work in therapy during her stay at Windsor.
We are so proud of all Barb’s accomplishments and know she will continue to do great work at home. Barb will continue her recovery with Home Health therapy and Cardiac Rehab. Then she will be able to take care of her mother on her own again and enjoy spending her free time feeding the fish in her pond, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
